Nveigh - Where Im From (New Track)

Nveigh has been in the Lab not only workin on their upcoming Anvils Mixtape (well i suppose the secret is out now) but also getting his vocal chords ready for his solo effort. this track that we've decided to upload here is one of those tracks that will take you back to the times of "Where Hiphop Is". this is a totally different 30 G's from the Punchline MC we've known him to be when he is wearing his Anvils Cap. also lookout for the properly edited video of the making of this track and more. i actually think we should just release the making of the Anvils Mixtape DVD instead of the actuall mixtape. LOL.

yup, the weekend came and went so fast, only good thing about it is that more Straight from the Oven, Baked Dope was distributed.

The beat oven first did a cameo showcase at FTV in brooklyn. nun to write home about, but if all goes well that should be his regular spot. only time will tell.

Saturday, saw cats putting in serious work, from having to wake up early in da morning and waiting for the ESPN Bus to roll through Cap City to scoop cats to Themba for a performance at the ESPN Kasi BasketBall Tour. Watch Nveigh and Beat Bag The Freshly Baked DOPE before hopping on the Buss to go serve some fiends in Themba.

The Basketball clinics went down proper, with Oven fresh beats coming from the Speakers. Ish started getting serious with Blaklez and Beat oven being asked to sign the Freshly Baked Dope and i ws like dayum dem fiends is really loving this, LOL, wssup crackboys? the Dope Boys were in da building, hahahhaha.

The final episode for Sat was when the Anvils performed. They did 3 joints and were asked to do 1 more. by that time, every1 was either moving to the side, limpin and tryna pass something to their mans, it ws too dope.

Sunday ws off to Katlehong Arts centre for a gig which promised to be real dope, reason ws gonna be performing, Imbube and a host of other dope cats like hoodlum etc. The anvils were invited just to come and perhaps do a joint or two and beat oven possibly a 30 minute set.

after the sound check, the electricity went (Ala Gino - There was load sheddding, LOL).

yup lookout for the Get Hooked Up Store in Voslo, dem cats r hustlers mayn, they wanna sell the mixtape for r40 bucks after getting it from us at cost price, we like, nah nucca, u gon sell dis ish max r30 or we aint supplying you with no Dope anymore. how u gon try and overcharge our fiends like dat, Its dat blue magic, twice the quality at half the price, dont mess with ma streets mayn.

had a very interesting chat with the cat who's holding the mixtape. he said he heard the Bridge when we were there and he has since been fiending for the Dope and wanted to check whether was there really load shedding when Beat Oven Baked this? he popped it in his car and he was bumping it the whole afternoon. i appologise for getting emtional on air, i promise it will neva happen again, cos it turns out the listeners ejoyed the show and still love that DOPE.

These cats really love hiphop. they had reason backed up in a corner somehwhere asking him about the state of the music industry and hiphop in particular and they went on to cop that Dope on da spot, Fiends Fiends Fiends, cant live without them.

Roach Invasion Weekend

This weekend was really action packed. I mean it started with the Roach Boys invading the red Pepper studios, for a day long recording session of Shiznizz to be flighted in October, lookout for the video snippets of the recordings.

it then went onto the Durban Invasion gig in North Ridding and then Hype Awards. well here are some pics for your viewing pleasure while the video snippets are being edited for uploading in the not so distant future.

yup, beat oven will be the Dj of the month and hence the 4 episodes he had to shoot. He was so in da building, almost every shot has the mixtape artwork in it. it ws too dope. The anvils show will be flighted on the 8th of October, Lookout for that.

there is also an Episode with Episode doing his thang. he's got a dope raga track which y'all should lookout for and also a mixtape which should be hitting the streets soon. a lil background on Duke, he's been working with Reason for a while now and they have a project that they doing together called for the kids.

then we were off to hanging out with the durban boys, couldnt get proper pics here, but beat oven baked a couple of tunes before P-kuttah came on the decks, u aint gonna see much here because these cats were bumpin to their own mixes along with the crowd.

and then it ws off to the big one, Hype Awards, well as much as cats were there because they were nominated, we still continued putting in that work, dat crack has got to go. check these out:

interesting how well the nomination helped to make the sales pitch a lil easier, we wer on some dayum gal, this mixtape right here is nominated for the best mixtape award and chances are it will take it, oooops. SOS came through kicked beat oven's ass, LOL. good looks though, i also think their mixtape was dope and yeah looking forward to the battle between vol 6 and their vol 4 next year.

Yup, the Roach boys even linked up with Ill Substance. this cat is a real dude, he wsnt even on some yo man wssup, he ws like, so when r we hoppin in studio, like asap, get the people that get things done to exchange no's and lets get this popping and yeah so lookout for that. these cats respect each other lyrically and i can only wonder whats gonna come outta dat booth when the ish is done.
