The Beat Oven Biog

He is also quickly becoming PTA's finest when it comes to his mixing skills and his superb blend of old school, rugged, raw, new school and raga sounds.

He has been featured on metro fm’s night pulse, on December 12 2005, by DJ Bambo Johnson. He had to play an hour long set, which got raving reviews from all over SA.

He has also been featured on Y-fm’s Da Joint remix, by Lee and AK, on the 1st of May 2006.
For the past four months he has been a resident DJ on Top Stereo’s hip-hop show, called 33 reasons. He was also a co-producer for the same show. He has also been featured on DsTV’s Go Zone Show as a Dj for the Day.

He has had a mixtape put out by ROACH INC Entertainment on the 24th of March, which featured more than 10 local MC’s rapping on beautifully mixed international beats, from Beat Oven’s extensive vinyl collection. The 26th of may saw the launch of this mixtape, which the streets have been raving about since.

No other name suits him better as whenever he plays, he only unleashes "Oven Baked Beats, straight from the Oven." He is currently holding down several spots in PTA, from his company's (ROACH INC Entertainment) organized Hip-Hop gigs, to a couple of clubs in PTA, like YBA Wednesdays @ club Chicago and house parties.

Also, he is currently busy with the sequel to his Straight from the Oven, volume 4, mixtape. Volume 4 will feature artists from Cape Town, PE, Durban, JHB and ofcourse PTA and will be hosted by one of SA's most prominet Radio DJ's.

The mixtape will also culminate on a national tour of as many cities as possible hence the need to feature artists from various cities in South Africa. the mixtape should be done by Mid to end February 2008.

His latest big gig was the recent Y-fm organized Club Y end of September. This had an attendance of more than 6 thousand people with multiple dance floors and he held down the hip hop floor. We are currently looking at various radio offers and discussing back and forth in terms of what the opportunities will be if he had to become one of the various show’s mix DJ.

The Anvils - Biog

Imagine a perfect blend of Punchlines, Metaphors and unsurpassed song writing skills over grimy, sometimes Jazzy beats blended all together.
That Concoction right there best represents what the sick DUO from PTA is notoriously known for.
You may ask, who this Duo is, well its The Anvils. They are a group made up of two MC’s, i.e. N-Veigh and Mcbeth, recently Joined by BlakLez, after Mcbeth decided to follow other ventures.
These MC’s have been under to Roach INC Entertainment mainly due to their lyrical prowess, passion for Hip-hop that shows through their live performances, and the belief that they could just be what the PTA and arguably the South African hip-hop scene needs right now, with the right support behind them.

Through Roach INC’s involvement they are fast becoming the talk of PTA, Gauteng and even South Africa as well.
They have been featured on e-TV’s hip-hop show called the Shiznizz a multiple times.

N-veigh took part in the Master’s of Rhythm competition, which was held in Benmore College in March ‘06. He went on to win the freestyle / battle competition, which earned him more respect as an MC.

N-veigh also was featured on Y-fm’s Rap Activity Jam and won for the evening, but could not go on to battle for the month end prize because of some unforeseen family circumstances.
Their tracks have made it into Hype Sessions a multiple times and have gotten good reviews from the Hype magazine.

Their tracks have also been on Metro fm’s Rhyme and Reason show’s top 10 local tracks, hosted by T-Bo touch, since the 6th of May 2006, for about 3 months. (Tracks are - baby slow down, Cheers, where hip-hop is)
The Anvils apart from performing at most of the State Theatre and other Roach INC organized events, they have also performed at the RAND EASTER SHOW on April ‘06.

They have performed alongside the prominent artists such as Proverb, Prokid, Optical illusion, Slikour, and many more during their performances at State Theatre in PTA.

Last Year, they dropped their much anticipated EP called INDEPENDENCE DAY and is produced by Some of SA's most prominent producers, such as Nyambz, Mizi, Grasroots Stars, Thir[13]teen and they have tracks featuring PROVERB, Reason and Damola
From the Independence Day, their first single, Hooligans, has been featured on Hype Sessions volume 11.

In October, the N-veigh also took part in the Niknaks MC Search competition and has gone on to win the competition and has walked away with R30 000.
Since then, they have been interviewed on Metro Fm’s afternoon drive show, by Glenzito, and also on iKhozi fm’s afternoon drive show by Mzekeke amongst other interviews and publicity related activities.

Also, in December, N-veigh was featured on Shiznizz's MC freestyle show, as the host for that episode as he won the most number of votes when he was featured with other MC’s previously.
They have also supported Optical Illusion, in their PTA part of their SA Tour, at SA State theatre on the 27th of October.

On the 1st of December they performed as main supporting acts for Zubz, the last letter, when he launched his album at the SA State Theatre.

Articles on hype magazine, Issue 11, 12, and 13 and have posed as models for hype magazine issue 12, have been on y-fm’s Da Joint remix to perform live in December 06 2006.
Recently N-veigh was on Metro fm’s Rhyme and Reason hosted by T-Bo Touch and since then, Touch has been playing his freestyle not less than 3 times on all his shows.

BlakLez has been featured on many of up and coming artists’ projects, including recently, Morale, who also has been on numerous TV shows praising Blaklez as the KING of pretoria Hiphop.
They have also been featured on Channel O’s Headrush multiple times.
Towards the end of 2007 they participated on MTVBase’s TRL Radio and an ESPN basketball event Newtown where they got a lot of love.

This Duo is bringing something fresh to the SA Hip-hop scene and a very well balanced E.P as their official introduction to underground and mainstream hip-hop.

Quoting two lines that possibly would answer some questions that people might have in their minds, Mcbeth goes on to say “We are here now, don’t even ask what took us so long, just pay attention”, and attention is what they have been grabbing with the E.P – Independence Day,
